Things To Know

  • Students will be evaluated for instrument proficiency by the Music Program Coordinator. Students needing remedial work with their principal instrument will be placed into MUAP 11XX, Introduction to Individual Instruction, in their first and second semesters. These two courses will be the equivalent to the first semester MUAP 12XX course.
  • Students must demonstrate piano proficiency through exams administered by the Music Department.
  • Students who complete the identified Field of Study (FOS) in Music courses are able to transfer said courses for full credit to any Texas public university/institution.
  • Due to Music program requirements, students may not complete all Core Curriculum Blocks at EPCC. If necessary, students may complete the remaining Core Curriculum Blocks at the receiving university.
  • Please visit the Music Faculty Advisor at the end of each semester to discuss your next semester courses.
  • Please check with the transferring institution on the transferability and applicability of courses to specific Bachelor of Arts degrees.
