The Office of the Vice President of Student and Enrollment Services provides leadership and oversees the
overall coordination of programs, services and resources within the area of Student and Enrollment Services.
As the administrative head of the division of Student and Enrollment Services, the Vice President is an
advocate for students and the liaison with the President, other vice presidents, deans, faculty, parents,
and other administrators throughout the College. The Vice President of Student and Enrollment Services also
oversees the non-academic student discipline program and compliance with the Student Code of Conduct.
The Admissions and Registrar Department is responsible for the acceptance of students into the College for
both Academic and Continuing Education programs and the creation and maintenance of student academic records
from admission through graduation and/or student transfer-out.
EPCC is a member of the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) and competes at the Division I
level in Region V of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
Call Center
Call Center provide custom branded email, text, outbound call, and virtual assistance that keep students
informed. These can range from information about registration and financial aid deadlines, campus events,
New Student Orientation reminders, and other topics EPCC students need to know. Call Center supplement the
efforts of Recruitment Services, College Readiness, and any institutional directives that impact the
colleges’ mission.
The Career Services Department promotes awareness of career options, world of work and lifelong career
management.
The Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) provides students, regardless of disability, if otherwise
qualified, an equal opportunity to complete their educational goal through the provision of accommodations
based upon their individual disability.
College Readiness
College Readiness at El Paso Community College provide motivational/information classroom presentations to
elementary and middle school presentations to ignite their educational goals all promoting a go-to-college
culture. Mentors, which consist of current college students, and staff participate in programs designed to
include parents of prospective students for college awareness. College Readiness supplement the efforts of
Recruitment Services.
The Dean of Students administers the non-academic student discipline program and compliance with the Student
Code of Conduct and serves as the Co-Chair of the Behavioral Intervention Team.
The Dual Credit Office oversees the program which allows high school students attending approved public
school districts, charter schools and state-supported schools to earn both high school and college credit
for qualifying dual credit courses.
The Financial Aid Office is dedicated to helping students pursue their college education by helping them and
their families meet educational expenses that they are not able to meet through their own resources.
Outreach and Transition Services
The Office of Outreach and Transition Services serves as the umbrella for key first year experience services
to include:
Recruitment Services, College Readiness,
Testing Services and
New Student Orientation. As a collaborative, we are responsible for
developing programs and services supporting comprehensive outreach efforts for entering students to ensure a
successful transition into college.
The EPCC Police Department pledges to enhance the quality of life on campus by working cooperatively with
the campus community – within the framework of the United States Constitution – to enforce the law, to
preserve the peace, to reduce fear, and to provide an environment conducive to higher education.
Recruitment Services at El Paso Community College provide motivational/informative high school classroom
presentations and work with educational, business, and community organizations to achieve their educational
goals. Recruiters and staff participate in programs designed to include parents of prospective students in
the college planning process. Recruitment Team’s primary focus is the enrollment of first time in college
students (FTICS). Lead organizers in institutional events targeted at all high school grad levels such as
but are not limited to – campus visits, Operation College Bound, EPCC EXPO, EPCC ROUND UP, TACRAO College
Fairs, Tejano Day, etc.
Student Leadership and Campus Life provides services at the College to promote leadership opportunities and
enhance the quality of life experiences for students. In addition
New Student Orientation provides essential information on campus life,
financial aid, academic resources, and registration—so you feel prepared, connected, and ready to succeed.
Testing Services facilitates student enrollment by placing students into academic courses determined via
placement tests such as the TSIA2 and ESL ACCUPLACER exams. The High School Equivalency (HSE) division of
Testing Services assists students in obtaining their GED to enroll as prospective EPCC students. Our HSE
area is also a certified Pearson Vue testing center. Furthermore, the Instructional Testing Services area of
the department supports our active students and faculty by providing testing outside of the classroom
setting. Career and education advancement for students, and the El Paso community, is available through
credit-by-exam, professional licensure tests, and certification tests for many areas of interest.
