Pharmacy Technicians assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications. The Pharmacy Technology programs provide classroom, laboratory and clinical training that prepare graduates to become vital members of the pharmacy care team in hospitals and retail stores.

Trainee Certification

After successfully completing the Certificate or AAS degree of the Pharmacy Technology program, students need to pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and apply to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
