Your EPCC account is used to access a variety of college services.
Details
EPCC accounts for students and employees consist of the following pieces of information:
- ID Number - unique 8-digit identification number
- PIN Number - 6-digit personal identification number
- Username - unique 8-character identifier
- Password
- Email
- username@my.epcc.edu for students
- username@epcc.edu for employees
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)
EPCC accounts for students and employees are protected by multi-factor authentication (MFA):
- Multifactor Authentication is a secure authentication method that requires users to prove their identity by supplying two or more pieces of evidence (or “factors”) when they log in.
- One factor is something the user knows, such as their username and password.
- Other factors are verification methods that the user has in their possession, such as an authenticator app or security key.
MFA Methods Available:
- Microsoft Authenticator App
- Preferred method of MFA authentication.
- Requires a smart phone with mobile data enabled.
- Certain restrictions apply.
- SMS (Short Message Service)
- Requires a cell phone of any kind with text messaging enabled.
- This method is less secure and more susceptible to man-in-the-middle attacks.
