In the machining program, students will actually learn and use precision techniques to make parts from various types of metal, using milling machines, lathes and grinders; and then assemble projects from those parts. Computers Numerical Control (CNC) operations and programming’s are the advanced courses in this sophisticated curriculum that prepares students for the high-paying jobs available in today’s global economy.
The machining technology program introduces the students to various machining operations and prepares the student to enter the metal trades industry.
The Topics Include:
- Engineering Drawing
- 3D Printing
- Basic lathe
- Surface grinding
- Computer numerical control (CNC, electrical discharge machine (EDM))
- Programming with introduction of CAD/CAM
