Cosmetology

Being associated with a program that has an established professional reputation in the industry can help open many doors for the individual interested in this field.

Most beauty schools will offer a basic cosmetology curriculum that includes training in hair, skin and nails. EPCC’s Cosmetology program goes a step further by including non-technical training to help students develop the necessary people skills that will define their success in the professional salon industry. Unlike traditional classroom settings, we provide classroom and salon instruction, our training facility is a full-service salon environment where students practice hair care and styling, nail care and make-up applications.

In as little as 3 semesters, a student will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts, explore trends and techniques, and work with real clients. Additionally, the curriculum is designed to help students prepare for the licensing exam.

The courses are divided into technical and instructional application. You will receive classroom training, however, the maturity is learned through life experience with clients. We provide an exceptional learning experience that prepares our students with a solid background for the cosmetology industry. We also prepare the student for the state examination, Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
