The Associate of Arts in Dance encompasses the first two years of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Dance. The Dance program exposes students to a well-rounded curriculum of ballet, modern, ballroom, and jazz dance techniques. It also introduces students to skills in performance, composition, choreography, concert production, and improvisation as well as cultural, historical, and aesthetic aspects of dance. Students have the opportunity to teach and choreograph as well as attend regional, national, and international conferences through the student dance club, Canvas Dance. Professional guest artists from the various career paths are brought in regularly to set choreography and advise students about careers in dance.
