FIELD OF STUDY IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION The Associate of Arts (AA) in Accounting, Business, and Economics is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the principles and practices of business, accounting, and economic theory. This program equips students with essential skills in financial management, critical thinking, and data analysis, preparing them for entry-level positions in a variety of industries or for further academic study. This program is ideal for students seeking a broad-based education that combines accounting, business acumen, and economic insight, positioning them for success in an increasingly complex and globalized economy. BCIS 1305 or MATH 1325 Option: • Students planning to transfer to a Texas public university are encouraged to enroll in BCIS 1305 to complete the Field of Study in Business Administration. • If transferring to UTEP, students are encouraged to enroll in MATH 1325, Calculus for Business & Social Sciences (F) to meet UTEP’s College of Business Administration program requirements.
