StayStrong Emergency Assistance

The EPCC StayStrong Emergency Fund can help you stay focused on your academic goals. This program is available to help EPCC students with emergency needs that are usually urgent, non-recurring, and involve relatively small costs.

We know that college can be challenging, life circumstances can become overwhelming and emergencies can happen to anyone at any time. If you are having difficulty meeting some of life’s basic needs due to an unexpected financial emergency, EPCC may be able to help with payment of unforeseen expenses or provide referrals to community resources.

Emergency assistance can help with unexpected expenses such as utilities, medical, food or transportation expenses. Emergency assistance is not typically provided for expected program and course-related expenses such as parking permits, academic materials, or library fees, among others.

Since funding is limited and not guaranteed, you may also be referred to other resources or community services that may be able to help you.

Emergency Assistance is limited and available first, come, first served based on eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in EPCC credit courses (at least 6 credit hours)
• Emergency Assistance should not be used for expected expenses, such as tuition or related fees.
• Must be 18 years old or have graduated from high school or equivalent (GED).
• May be required to provide proof or documentation of emergency (such as a bill, photo of emergency expense, etc.)
• Students eligible to request assistance once per semester not to exceed $500 per calendar year.
• Priority will be given to first-time student requests.
