Student Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes

Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) are designed to identify if students who attend EPCC are acquiring the knowledge to be successful in the work force and/or reaching their educational goals. In addition to SLOs at the program level, The Core Curriculum is designed to provide students with the intellectual competencies to meet the demands of an ever-changing world. General Education Outcomes have also been identified to assess a student’s overall abilities in reading, math, writing and critical thinking at EPCC. Below are the results of the assessment of the learning outcomes in three areas: Program SLOs, Core Curriculum Evaluation, and General Education Outcomes.

Programs

Program SLOs are assessed on a two-year cycle. During each cycle, four SLOs are identified for each program. They are assessed and recommendations are made based on the result of the assessment.
