Departments should send Marketing the information for press releases four weeks in advance.
This allows enough time for the following procedure to take place:

  • Writing of the Press Release
  • Revision Process
  • Approval from the Department Head or Requestor
  • Approval from the Director of Marketing & Community Relations
  • Follow up for story or coverage.

Your department can also promote your information on television, radio, and in print. In addition, the information can be posted on applicable media community calendars for you.
Please provide the contact information of who may be interviewed for the story and all of the particulars about the item four weeks in advance.
