The Certificate of Completion in Machining Technology adds computer numerical controls, computer assisted manufacturing to the conventional skills developed in the program. This certificate prepares individuals for employments as entry level machinists.
Description:
Introduces the fundamentals of the machining trade emphasis is placed on shop safety, blueprint interpretation, basic math, measuring instruments, hand tools, are the principles of CNC programming and operation with the CNC turning center, CNC machine center, wire EDM with multiple axis milling capabilities.
Goal:
Provide the skills to a beginning student wanting to become a machinist and CNC machinist in the local or nation wide manufacturing.
