There are four mandatory courses required to apply for a salesperson's license and one elective. The Texas Real Estate Commission requires a total of 210 hours.
The following courses will prepare the student for the exam.
Mandatory Courses:
- Principles of Real Estate I
- Principles of Real Estate II
- Law of Agency
- Law of Contracts (Prerequisite: Real Estate Principles I)
The student can choose from any of the following courses to complete the 210 hours.
- Real Estate Math
- Real Estate Law
- Real Estate Finance

After a student completes all 5 courses they need to send copies of the certificates to the
Texas Real Estate Commission.
Texas Veterans Hazelwood Act Award can be used for these courses.
