How to find news on the open Web

From the Valle Verde Library Homepage, select the "Open Web" link.
Select the "News" link.
These sites on the Open Web have been selected by V.V. Librarians.
The Valle Verde Library "News" page opens.
To look for newspapers in other countries, click on Newspapers Worldwide.
Newspapers Worldwide opens.
Choose a country.
Use links provided by search engines, such as Yahoo and Google.
Click on "News."
You can also type the address (URL) of your favorite news sites. For example:cnn.com for CNN News, msnbc.com for NBC News, abcnews.go.com for ABC News, npr.org for NPR News, pbs.org for PBS News
The future of the news? Google has Newsmap. With this software you can visualize the news at a glance.
News headlines are presented to fit on one page, with the news items that are more important in larger type.
The objective of this heat map is to "simply demonstrate visually the relationships between data and the unseen patterns in news media. It is not thought to display an unbiased view of the news, on the contrary it is thought to ironically accentuate the bias of it.“
