to use crayon.net to write your own newspaper

- Type
<crayon.net> on your browser.
- Create
an account by clicking "new user."
- To
register, fill out an online form.
- When
choosing a password, do NOT type your email address or AOL password. Type something
different from any of the passwords you have.( In other words, this is NOT a secure
site. )
- Click
"OK."
- You can
play with the paper settings or leave the default settings.
- Name
your paper.
- Create
your own motto!
- Type
your zip code.
- Select
"simple page."
- Select
"links."
- Scroll
down to finish the settings.
- Select
"Require password for modifying your newspaper."
- Click
the "standard" button to add your own links.
- Click
"Standard."
- Choose
from the list provided, media links you would like to include in your paper. For
example, CNN, NBC, Newsweek, Pollilngreport.com, etc.
- Scroll
down to add links.
- To
add links, name your link and paste or type the URL (Web address) of the link.
- Click
"Add."
- The Valle
Verde Library link has been added.
- If
you want to delete a link, click on the red X next to it.
- When
you are done adding links, click "Create My Newspaper Now."
- Arrange
the newspaper sections in your preferred order, then, click "Publish my newspaper."
- Click
the "Publish my newspaper" button. Now, you do it.
- This
is the page you are going to get when you have finished adding links to your newspaper.
Notice that Crayon.net has created a "page/newspaper" for you. Click on the link
to see how your paper looks.
- Scroll
down to see your added links.
- Now,
if after you are done you want to add links or to make changes, scroll down and
click in the "modify this paper" button. Now, you do it.
- You
can go back to your paper at any time. Type on your browser and to
login.
- Click
"Read My Paper."
- Remember
to scroll down if you want to delete or add sites to your paper.
- Click
on "modify my paper."
