How to cite an article
from the online databases using APA
- After doing your search,
choose an article.
- The article in this example
is cited like this:
- Author, last name,
initial.
- (Date in parenthesis,
following this format: year, month, date).
- Title of article,
first word capitalized. Remember to capitalize proper names if they appear
in the title.
- Name of publication-magazine
or journal, in italics, all caps
- Volume, in
italics & issue number, if each issue is numbered separately,
in italics & in parentheses
- Pages, (
NOT italicized.)
- DOI, if not available,
URL of database
The correct citation:
