MLA Bibliography: How to Make the List of Sources

 

Author. (Last name, first name) Title. (underlined). Place of Publication: Publisher, Date.

Example:
Hinton, Susan. Eloise. New York: Delacorte, 1979.

Author (First person mentioned - Last name, first name), Second author mentioned. (FIRST name, followed by last name) Title. (underlined) Place: Publisher, Date. Medium.

    Example:

    Cite the original, then state name of database, (italicized), medium and date of access.

    Example: database magazine article with no author

    Title (italicized). Director. Distributor. Year of release. Medium. You may include screenwriter, performers, producers, etc. between the title and the distributor.

    Example:

      Depression: Out of the Shadows. Directed, written and produced by Larkin McPhee. Narrated by Michael Murphy. Production of Twin Cities Public
            
               Television and WGBH. PBS. 2009. DVD.

    Author of the article. "Title of the Web Page." Title of complete work (if part of a group of documents) Date created or last revised. Medium. Date you access the information. (URL, ONLY if you think it is difficult to find or instructor requires it.)

    Example:

    Abilock, Debbie. "Research on a Complex Topic." Nueva Library Help 8 Aug. 1996. Web. 23 Aug. 1997 .

    Note:When citing sources, there are many variations to take into account, so,
