Tutorial Support Services Mission Statement

The mission of Tutorial Support Services is to provide free assistance that will help all students enrolled in the College and the citizens of the community achieve the greatest possible academic success, to improve the retention rate of students, to organize new programs in response to student needs, and to provide opportunities for academically talented individuals to utilize their special abilities to be remunerated while helping other people. 

Goals of the Department:

      1. To provide academic support services that will enable students to become more successful.

      2. To recruit, hire, and supervise outstanding students to meet program and personal objectives.

      3. To improve our program by regularly assessing student needs and modifying department services when appropriate.

      4. To communicate, cooperate, and develop joint ventures with faculty to improve student services.

      5. To maintain a high level of knowledge, act as a resource agency, and contribute to development in learning assistance and basic skills instruction.

      6. To maintain an adequate working environment and facilities for staff and students.

      7. To secure funding and improvement for the program by evaluating and reporting all program activities.

      8. To publicize our services widely and regularly.
