Student Success in Nursing

 Student Success in Nursing (SSIN)

The Registered Nursing and Vocational Nursing programs at EPCC both started in 1972. In 1975 these programs were converted to a career ladder concept which allows the students a great deal of flexibility in the route they take to obtain their nurses training. The Nursing and Vocational Nursing Programs are fully accredited by the Texas Board of Nursing. The Nursing Program is also accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing through 2020, when the program is scheduled to be reviewed again. The faculty and staff of the various nursing programs are constantly striving to provide the best education possible to our nursing and vocational nursing students.

The RN Program is located on the Rio Grande Campus in the new Health and Science Building which was built in 2004 on El Paso Street. It is located across the street from the original historical nursing building located on Oregon Street. It is the oldest building in the EPCC College District.
