 Student Success in Nursing (SSIN)


The Registered Nursing and Vocational Nursing programs both started at EPCC in 1972. In 1975 these programs were converted to a career ladder concept which allows the students a great deal of flexibility in the route they take obtain their training as a nurse. For the 2011-2012 academic year the EPCC RN graduates NCLEX-RN (RN licensing exam) pass rate was 92.37%. For the 2012-2013 academic year the pass rate is 84.55%. The vocational nursing program NCLEX-PN pass rate was 83% and the Multiple Entry and Exit VN program (High School Vocational Nursing Programs) was 100%! The RN Program is located in the new Health and Science Building and is state of the art. It is located across the street from the original historical nursing building located on Organ Street. It is the oldest building in the EPCC College District.

Effective June 2013 ranking, Nursing applicants will be required to take TEAS Version V- Test of Essential Academic Skills, for qualification and ranking. Also, the Nursing Specialized Admissions Orientation will be MANDATORY under Pre-Program Specific Requirements.

ADN Nursing Program FAQ TEAS (PDF)

Upon successful completion – (80% correct responses), of the Quiz a student will be able to download a Certificate verifying their completion of the online Nursing Specialized Admissions Orientation. The Nursing Specialized Admissions Orientation is a mandatory Pre-Program Specific Requirement for June 2013 ranking.
