Sexual Offender Information

The El Paso Community College Police Department is greatly concerned with the recent rash of sexual offenses occurring in the community. As you can review in the crime statistics posted on this web site, we have been fortunate in the fact that sexual offenses occur rarely on district property. This is not to say it will never happen here. Everybody needs to take precautions to lessen the chances of it happening to you. One of the concerns we take seriously here at the El Paso Community College are the sexual offenses on children. Many of us are parents and need to take extra precautions.

One method of safeguarding ourselves and our children is by knowing who lives in your neighborhood. The Texas Department of Public Safety has made available through public records, a web site that will assist you in finding out if a sexual offender is living in your area. As a Police Department, we feel that it can only help if the public is aware of any tools available to assist them to prevent sexual assaults against them or their children.

When you enter this web site, it will ask you to read the caveats and agree to the terms. Once you agree to the terms, it will take you to a page where you can search for an individual or you can search an area. It is a very informative web site that can assist you in various ways. Click on the following link and you will be taken directly to that web site.
