Keyword search in UTEP Library shows they have a master's thesis , microfilm records of the mines, and a manuscript collection of a rough rider/soldier (Frank Brito) who was born in Pinos Altos in 1877.

This would be an excellent place to call or visit to research Pinos Altos, since the town is only 6 miles from here in the Gila.

There were no hits on "pinos altos" so I did a general search "mining new mexico" and found two articles which may mention pinos altos or give other background information on mining in this part of the state. Kingston is within 50 miles of Pinos Altos.
