Borderlands  Resources

  • Along the Rio Grande   The EPCC-TV television series Along the Rio Grande ran from 2000 to 2003 and was aired on EPIC-TV, an El Paso, Texas instructional cable outlet and KRWG-TV, the Las Cruces, New Mexico PBS affiliate. Two programs a month highlighted local individuals and institutions involved in historical and cultural projects in the greater El Paso area.  This page indexes the 63 episodes that aired.  For copies of any of the programs, contact the Center for Instructional Communications at El Paso Community College at 915-831-2000.

  • Articles on the history and culture of the Texas, New Mexico, Mexico Border   Borderlands   A collection of student written articles on the history and culture of the El Paso, Juarez, Las Cruces border region, comprising the states of Texas, New Mexico, and the Mexican state of Chihuahua.  
     
  • Current El Paso Information Websites  Sites giving information on El Paso's culture, recreation, statistics, education, business, etc.
     
  • Historical Markers Project Results of a project in which twenty-five EPCC students surveyed thirty-three historic sites in the El Paso area, compiled research materials, prepared research packets, conducted interviews, documented, and prepared summary materials.  Ten sites under study are being developed as a Mexican Revolution Trail through the El Paso area.
