New Mathways Project
Accelerate your math courses with NMP!
What is NMP?

The New Mathways Project offers courses focusing on active learning and real-life math, including statistics. NMP provides students placing into MATH 0303 a way to complete their first college level math requirements faster than going through the traditional developmental math route. This may mean spending less money on tuition, books, and fees.

  • Since fall 2015, EPCC has been a part of a research study to see how students do in NMP courses.
  • Space in the courses is limited.
Who is it for?

Students placing into MATH 0303 or MATH 0305 in eligible majors are encouraged
to apply for enrollment in New Mathways Project (NMP) courses.

‭(Hidden)‬ Do you want to complete your developmental and credit math courses faster?

Then this may be the project for you.

During the Fall semester, complete a Developmental Mathematics course (MATH 0404) and a credit Student Success course (EDUC 1300), and then take Elementary Statistics (MATH 1342) or Contemporary Mathematics (MATH 1333) in the Spring semester. This allows students to take one less developmental math class.
