
On August 21, 2008 EPCC will initiate the Teachership Academy. Over the course of the 2008-2009 academic year, the Academy will offer monthly workshops that focus on enhancing the pedagogy of EPCC faculty. These workshops and other events will provide EPCC faculty with a venue to discuss pedagogical issues of concern to the Academy participants. Through these discussions and collaboration, Academy participants will devise strategies to meet the learning needs of all EPCC students. The Teachership Academy is open to both full-time and adjunct faculty who will receive faculty development credit for their participation in the Academy. Upon graduation from the Academy, participants will become Mentor teachers who will then assist other new faculty with their instructional and developmental needs.
