Library Instruction

Offered upon request. Call the E.P.C.C. library closest to you.

If you get the answering machine, please speak in a clear voice and leave your name, telephone number, most convenient time to call you, center where you teach and hour of your class.

A librarian will return your call to confirm the request.

Internet Classes

Offered upon request. Call the E.P.C.C. library closest to you.
(Private instruction is provided for instructors interested in learning E-Mail and the World Wide Web.)

Class Visits to Campus Libraries

Library visits can be scheduled at your convenience.

Make sure to let your Instructional Dean know ahead of time. You need his/her approval for this activity.

Visits to Area Libraries

Visits to the public libraries can be scheduled, also. This will depend on their schedule and availability. Note that the Ysleta Branch and the Clardy Fox Branch have Literacy Centers. They collect many low level-high interest materials for E.S.L. students.

Make sure to let your Instructional Dean know ahead of time about this visit. You need his/her approval for this activity.

Reserves

An instructor may reserve materials from the E.P.C.C. libraries, either to keep at the library itself or to take with him/her to the classroom.

This material can be of the following sort: dictionaries, L.E.A. Books (low level-high interest fiction books), grammar books, tapes, videos, books about learning English, back issues of magazines not needed at the main campuses, photocopied articles, etc.

Materials may be reserved for the entire semester. The instructor will be held financially responsible for the loss or damage of reserved material if housed off-campus.

Mail Service

If the instructor cannot pick up the reserved material, this could be mailed to his/her address.

Fax Service

Articles can be faxed to your place of work.

Individual Consultations

Provided upon request. Call to request an appointment to talk about your information/research needs.
