These 2 courses would utilize the content of the history course to teach the writing techniques in English. For example, you might have a theme of Historical Heroes of the 20th Century. The assignment might be writing a research paper on the life and impacts of Abraham Lincoln during his presidency. You would be taught the historical context and then apply the technical aspects of writing a research paper to utilize both courses.
The student would essentially have one assignment that would count for both courses – less work, but working more efficiently, and receive separate grades for each course.
