PC Roll Out at ACS Labs
STS Students recently participated in a PC Roll Out, which is the replacement of computers in the Academic Computing Services Labs, in all of our campuses. This replacement occurs every few years, providing students who utilize the labs with the most current technology available. This event was supervised by the PC Techs and the ACS Lab Managers. This was a valuable teaching tool for the STS Students, enabling them to understand how the PCs are set up, programmed and networked to the servers and printers. USO
|
STS was awarded with a plaque by The United Service Organizations (USO) in appreciation to the ongoing support of our troops. STS has been assisting with the United Through Reading (UTR) Project helping the soldiers stay connected with their families. We thank Stacy Adrian, a former STS student placed at the USO for a job well-done. Maribel Quezada is now taking on the honor and duties of supporting our military and representing EPCC at the USO Fort Bliss.

The money raised will go toward the “Dependents of the Armed Forces Endowment” which will fund scholarships to military dependents. Approximately 650 people gathered for the festivities. There was a large presence of military personnel, to include the Commanding General of Fort Bliss, MG Howard Bromberg and Mayor John Cook. Our primary sponsor was Wal-Mart which donated $20,000.00 to this great cause.
