Administrative Assistant

The Professional Administrative Assistant Degree Program will prepare individuals to work in an office environment, utilizing the current technology, providing graduates with the necessary skills required in today's business office.
 

Overview

 
Students will learn how to use software applications, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, etc); Business projects will be applied in the classroom environment to reinforce skills. Other focus areas of study include Web Design, Integrated Software Applications, Desktop Publishing, Business English, Administrative Office Procedures, Keyboarding and Speed/Accuracy Building, Vector Graphics for Production, and Cooperative Education.
 
Students will be highly encouraged to take the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) Exam. Becoming MCAS Certified validates your skills in each of the applications, as well as adding strength to your resume, which employers will recognize, and enhances your ability to further your career in your field of choice.
