Overview

El Paso Community College Engineering program prepares the student for entry-level jobs in the Engineering field. This is a core curriculum program that provides the student with the foundations to pursue an Engineering degree in the areas of Civil, Computer, Electrical/Electronics, Industrialm Mechanical, Metallurgical, Material Science.
The Engineering Program can provide the student with 66 hours that can be transferred to a University and obtain a Bachelors of Science in Engineering in the majors mentioned above. The program prepares the graduate Student so that he/she could work for the local, state, federal agencies that require individuals with an engineering background.
The Salary Range an Engineering graduate will earn, depends on the Company that he/she will end up working for. The average Salary for Engineering Technicians, according to the
Bureau of Labor Statistics, was $50,000 in May 2006.
