| “I need to know what these candidates have planned for the city and themselves. I really don't care what political party they are from. I just wish that they would be more of a leader. There are too many issues to deal with, and candidates should not make such big promises. They should make realistic goals that they can accomplish.” | “Anyone who supports education has my vote. In Texas, teachers get paid squat and they don't have as good of benefits as they should. They don't get their fair share. Also, I think the standardized testing is a waste of time because it takes away one month of precious time from teachers who could be using it to teach crucial subjects like math and science.” | “I think anyone who will change the country is good; things like
immigration and taxes.” “I want someone to stop the war, because we are losing a lot of teenagers and family members that are over there in Iraq and families are sad and depressed. Even I have an uncle who will be going over there soon.” |
“I want someone who will speak both English and Spanish and who will take into consideration the people that come from Juarez, who don't understand English. Voting information is never in Spanish, nor is it ever aimed toward those with disabilities. Maybe someone could help change the way we vote. We need to have information that everyone can understand.” |
