Essay Topic: "Why Mass Communication and Speech are important in today's fast-changing world."

"Whether it be a change in mass communication or the way speech in general has changed to accommodate new technology, mass communication will always be a vital tool in society."

Essay Topic: "What is the most important role that someone in Business can play in today's fast-changing world?"

"If everybody only wants to get but not give, who will end up benefiting? The answer is nobody. That is why one needs to take the first step of thinking about themselves less and others more. Contributing to the community will also help the company prosper."

Essay Topic: "Teaching is more than a job."

"Teachers must wait years before they see how their decisions in the classroom have impacted the lives of their students. Educators don't teach a subject or the state standards, but they teach a whole person who will later become a life-long learner and a contributing member of society."

Essay Topic: "The Arts contribute to society in numerous ways."

"People are devoted to an art because they have a passion for it. Being a dance major has given meaning to that passion, it has shown me the necessity that my soul has to express it. Pouring our souls into art has become the motivation society needs to accomplish goals, find peace in our spirits and gives us a powerful reason to be."

Essay Topic: "Art is not a luxury in my life: it is a necessity"

"Just as Jose Cisneros made art in his era, which was the early 1900's in the Southwest, his art showed a portrait of his time. I believe that without art we cannot express ourselves and if we cannot express ourselves, we cannot be heard by anybody. Art makes it easier to go through life. Art is just plainly life itself, not a treat."

Essay Topic: "Art is not a luxury in my life: it is a necessity"

"I am a wife, a mother, an employee and a full-time student. I am a student once again with a new out look on life. I look forward to my day because every day of my life involves dance. Coming back to dance was the greatest decision of my life. I didn't realize it before I left it, but dance lives in me and it is a necessity in my life."

Essay Topic: "The Value of Art in my Life"

"When I turned 35, I decided to follow my dream of becoming a teacher. One of my requested classes was Art Appreciation. I learned to view art in a new and exciting light. Art gives us the opportunity to be reunited with traditions and our past. I now view art as a powerful tool against the subtle historical erasure of our culture."

Essay Topic: "The Value of Art in my Life"

"I come from a Mexican immigrant family and I will be the first generation to graduate from college in the United States. To many of my family members, it is an outrage for me to want to become an artist. I want to live to do art and do art to live, because I find no more satisfaction than the one I encounter in the creative process."

Essay Topic: "The Scientific, Engineering and Technological fields play a crucial role in humanity's future."

"Science and technologies have brought us from being cavemen, afraid of even looking for our own food, to the dominant and most successful species on earth. We needed science and technology then; we need science and technology now; and we will definitely need it even more in the future."
