The EPCC student newspaper, Tejano Tribune, earned seven awards in the Texas Community College Journalism Association’s annual competition, for the 2006 school year.
Winners include Jon Castañeda, who won awards in cartooning, (2nd place, honorable mention), Leslie Council (1st place, news writing), Noely Gonzales (2nd place, feature photo), Nick Davis (3rd place, sports news writing), Steve Petrivelli (honorable mention, sports news writing) and Erika Hernandez (honorable mention, sports feature).
