| "I'm not too familiar with who's running, but I've always been brought up a democrat", says Biegler, a student working in the STS program. "I think democrats are more for the people than the Republicans." Republicans are more powerful and rich and they ignore the middle and lower-class people." | Talavera feels otherwise. "I don't like politics and I'd rather
not get involved. There is too much lying anyway.” He has an interesting take on things. "If I had to pick somebody though, it would be the elephants because I don't want to look like a jackass. Plus, I think the republicans are doing an okay job right now. |
"Democrat she states, and many have agreed. "I'm okay with being conservative and all that stuff-it has a lot of positive contributions to society-but I think it leaves out some of the most important stuff,” she said. “Like including the minorities and also how the social structures operate." | "Democrat because I'm not happy with what Republicans are doing in Iraq with the War on Terrorism,” sahe said. “I don't think they're concentrating on anything at home. The Republicans are more concentrated on the oil in Iraq than the domestic issues here in the U.S." |
