Lumenbrite is just right
By Jackie Fiest

With the stress, hustle and bustle of being a college student, sometimes you just need somewhere to go and relax.

Tucked away in the seemingly non-stop construction of downtown El Paso, lies a charming little internet café called Lumenbrite.

Lumenbrite offers a quiet environment to unwind, surf the Internet and enjoy a smoothie, which can be helpful when the stress of college life starts to get to you.

However, despite the relaxation and killer banana smoothies, there is a lot for those who want to learn more about how to use common computer programs.

These are courses that last for about six days and include programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. As well as DreamWeaver, Flash Professional, Director MX and Cold Fusion from Adobe.

Lumenbrite has a film theatre where they screen films and hold a film class. The public is invited. Each class holds 17 students, and must be of the appropriate age to watch a rated “R” film.

One of Lumenbrites highlights is their menu. They have a great menu including chicken pesto, sourdough BLT’s and a great cesar wrap. They also have a vast selection of teas and coffees. Despite the menu, it’s their banana smoothies that keep this reporter coming back.

Lumenbrite is located at 217 North Stanton in downtown El Paso.
