New Frat at EPCC

The nationwide fraternity Lamda Alpha Episilon has arrived at EPCC and in the fall semester already has 20 members.

This criminal justice fraternity is being counseled by faculty advisor Michelle Watkins.

“The goal is for all of these students in El Paso to be friendly with one another, in order to approach each other as contacts,” Watkins said.

Watkins, surprised at the number of members, said that 20 is a large quantity for the organization in its first semester.

“Sure, I’m excited, because not only do we have 20 members, but 20 strong members,” said Watkins.

She also said, “[They’re] really dedicated people that would go above and beyond to get the organization off the ground.”

The fraternity was created so that EPCC can take as much advantage of the program. An example is to allow members to see what field they are getting into by going on special trips.

In order to join, students simply need to have criminal justice as their major and to not have a felony arrest.
