I’m dying to get out of EPCC and start UTEP as an education major. I was a nursing student here, but the program kept changing the requirements, so
the exam I took was invalid. Also, the counselors stuck me with a lot of remedial courses, which I didn’t need. It was a waste of money.
It’s easier to transition to a university from a junior
college than straight from high school because the classes are smaller,
allowing me to interact more with the instructors and make more friends. I’ll definitely miss EPCC. In the fall, I’ll transfer to UTEP as a criminal justice major.
My science professors are really good and caring toward the students. My chemistry professor helped me to accomplish my honor’s project and still offers help even though I’ll be transferring to NMSU in the fall as a chemistry major. Here at EPCC, it’s easy to make friends through the small classes.

EPCC has helped me socially because before I came here, I was shy. Through my participation in Campus Life activities, I became more social. Now my time at EPCC is ending and hopefully, I’ll attend UTEP as a political science major and Chicano studies minor.
