Dear
Miss Council,
I read the article you wrote and printed in
“El Conquistador,” dated February 1, 2007. I was taken
back by the first sentence. You didn’t mean to write such a
trite statement, did you? And when did the first of the year (2007)
did “…some of us…” wake buried peacefully
beneath a layer of snow? What snow in El Paso, TX? Now, in Wisconsin
that argument can be made. In Buffalo, NY and Massachusetts, that
can be claimed. But, in El Paso?
Regarding those who see you read “Soldier Boy” and “Blood
in the Trenches like Wet Painted Benches,” I can say that if
your poems are as badly written as the rest of the article, I must
recommend that you take more courses in grammar, composition, creative
writing, and poetry!
You actually wrote, “…there is a sense of anti-Bushism
sentiments…” There is …sentiments? Are there Bushism
sentiments so you could harbor anti-Bushism sentiments? Duh? Do you
know what you write? Does it have meaning? The grammatical construction
is that of an illiterate candidate for ABE classes! Do you always
operate (write) at this level? I challenge you to identify and list
President Bush’s father’s mistakes! In what area can you
list these mistakes you claimed his son was trying to clear? Please
tell me, “Why you did not vote for President George W. Bush
the second time?” What beginning did/ do you feel? What numbers
do not match? I must adjust the popular saying, “It is better
to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
You offer written proof!
What original conquistadores do you, do you challenge? As a plural,
“Conquistadors,” cannot/could not have the idealisms (huh?)
of, “I want it my way or no way…”
You collect and share your insane statements! What does your statement
“…we can certainly considerate…,” mean? What?
Only you can top this with, “Perhaps even, we can have a contest.”
Stop writing!
