Annual Clery Campus Security Report
The Annual Clery Campus Security Report is available online at www.epcc.edu/epccpd/. This site contains policy statements and statistical information regarding crime on campuses at the El Paso Community College. The El Paso Community College Police Department will provide a hard-copy of the report and statistical information upon request.

The Continuing Education Department

NPG Population Scholarship Essay Contest
The Census Bureau projects U.S. population will grow to at least 419 million people by 2050 adding over 120 million additional residents to our nation. NPG, a national organization devoted to population issues, invites reasoned and clearly-written discussion of the following question: Should the United States Government pursue population policies to protect our quality of life for future generations? Special Olympics Texas Torch Run
There will be a Special Olympics Texas Torch Run, on Mar. 12 at the corner of Stanton and Cincinnati (parking lot of Geogeske's). There will be al small fee of $20 at early registration and $25 day of race. Shotgun will start at 8:00 a.m. for 8K run and 8:15 a.m. for 3 mile walk (non competitive). Packet Pickup will be Mar. 8-10 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. All entrants will receive a free long sleeve t-shirt in their goody bags. Entry forms can be picked up at the Special Olympics Texas office (701 Montana Avenue, inside the YMCA Downtown), or call (915) 532-1795 and we will fax or mail you a form. The 8K run and 3 mile walk will benefit Special Olympics Texas Area-19.

NPFDA
The National Poultry and Food Distributors Association is pleased to award scholarships to various students of agricultural colleges and universities across the US. Each student selected will receive a $1,500 scholarship from NPFDA. All applications and documents must be received by the NPFDA no later than may 31.

2006 Administrator Waiter's Luncheon
The 2006 Administrator Waiters Luncheon is around the corner. Mark your calendar for the best Waiters Luncheon yet! Tickets will be available for sale soon at $6.50 per plate. They are being printed as we speak and we will notify you. It will take place on Apr. 28 at 11:30 a.m. in the ASC Auditorium.

EPCC Bowling Tournament
The first EPCC Bowling Tournament will be held on Apr. 6 at the Oasis Lanes, 1660 N. Zaragoza. The format is four person teams (limited to the first 40 teams) and cost is $35 per person. This includes meal, shoes, 3 games and awards. Sign in will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and the tournament will begin at 2 p.m. Dinner will be scheduled as teams complete the tournament. All proceeds will benefit EPCC Student-Athlete scholarships. For more info call Claudia at 831-2269.

ARTstor Workshop
If “a picture is worth a thousand words” then we owe it to ourselves to open the teaching world to a collection of over of over 500,000 art related images. On Mar. 8 from 2:30 – 4 p.m. in room C420 on the Valle Verde Campus there will be a workshop presented by Ron Clark. He will be introducing you to the growing online art collection now available to the EPCC community. For more details contact Mr. Ron Clark at ronc@epcc.edu or at 831-2481.

2006 EPCC Health Fair
Students can come get free services such as: screenings, BMI test, blood pressure checks, and health information. This will be on Mar. 9 in the cafeteria annex from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sponsored by Student Leadership, Campus Life, and SGA.

Questions About God?
Do you wonder about or have questions about God? The Baptist Student Ministry invites those with questions about God for discussions every Monday after The Lunch. Women’s History Month
Join SGA and Campus Life in celebrating Women’s History Month. Through out the month of March events will be held to commemorate women that will lecture at specified campuses. Come listen to Special Guest Shoshana Johnson, Army Special give her message of Leadership on the Front Lines of Iraq, from a woman’s perspective. She will speak 12 noon at the Valle Verde campus, cafeteria annex, and again 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7 at the Transmountain campus. Also on Tuesday march 7, Campus Life features Rachel Moyal of the Real World: Austin. She will speak at the Valle Verde Cafeteria Annex at 1 p.m. Following her speech Campus Life will announce the Outstanding EPCC Women Awards.
