Love Conference
The 12th annual Seniors Love Conference will be held on Feb. 17 from
8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Region 19 Head Start Education Service Center.
Participants must have a Conference Pass and must register by calling
the EPCC Senior Adult Program at 831-2701 or email maryy@epcc.edu.
Workshops will be held at the conference and exhibitors will be displayed.
Tumblewords
Project Schedule
The Memorial Park Public Library will be holding a Tumblewords Writing
Project on Sat. afternoons from 12:45 to 2:45. The cost is free, but
donations are accepted.

Basketball League
Must be 18 years or older to participate and 6’3 or under. The
League starts as soon as possible on Tuesdays and Thursdays between

KIDS-N-CO. will present a new stage adaptation of the classic story,
The Emperor’s New Clothes. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays

Choir
Night: A Message in Song
To celebrate Black History Month on Monday, Feb. 19, the local El
Paso choirs will lift their voices in gospel and praise at 7 p.m.
at the TM Campus Forum Theater. Sampling of African American cuisine
(“soul food”) will immediately follow the concert. For

On Fri., Feb. 23 the African American Pioneers of El Paso will speak
at the TM Campus Forum Theater at 7 p.m. This year will feature and
honor those who paved the way for other African Americans, and for

Gallery Competition
The National Society of Arts and Letters invites emerging artists,
ages 18 to 29, to show paintings in water media on paper (watercolor
and acrylics) in an exhibit and competition. The deadline to enter

Fever
Free financial aid assistance will be available to all students from
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 15 (UTEP Campus), Feb. 16 (EPCC Valle Verde
Campus), and Feb. 17 (YISD Administration & Cultural Arts Center).
Those interested are asked to bring their 2006 Federal Income Tax
Return, W-2, driver’s license and records of any untaxed income,
including from Social Security, child support, or workers’ compensation.
Dependents will need to bring their parents’ tax information
as well.
