Kid s a Smile! Free Dental For Kids
All kids for ages 6 to 20 can get a free dental, including cleaning
and sealants. The event is sponsored by El Paso Community College,
El Paso City County Health Department, Dental Society of El Paso,
and Dental Hygiene Society of El Paso. Participants must make an appointment
in advance. For information on locations, times, dates, and to make
an appointment contact Dr. Gonzalez at 543-3580.
American Chemical Society Scholars Program
The American Chemical Society is the largest membership organization
devoted to the study and advancement of a single science, provides
scholarships for qualified applicants who want to enter the field
of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering. Or other chemically
related fields such as environmental science, materials science or
toxicology. Students interested in two-year college programs for chemical
technology may also apply for scholarship. The Deadline for submitting
ths application is Mar. 1 annually. The Application form ids available
on the American Chemical Society's Web site www.chemical.org/scholars.
Greek Tragedy THE TROJAN WOMEN
Auditions for the Greek tragedy The Trojan Women will be held Tues.
Feb. 7 at 6:30 PM at the Valle Verde campus HV (Portable) 14 at the
northern side of the campus by the Phoenix St. entrance. Actors and
Actresses of various ages are needed. Rehearsals will be Mon. through
Thurs. 6-9 PM. The play will be presented Apr. 7, 8 and 11, 12. For

Adjunct Faculty Award
This year EPCC will recognize two outstanding adjunct instructors.
The recipients of this award will be honored at the annual recognition
dinner. In addition, each recipient will be given a stipend to attend
the Southwest Seminar for the great teaching in Taos, New Mexico.
Nomination forms must be submitted to the Faculty Developmental Office
(A219, VV Campus) by Jan. 30. An individual can nominate only one
faculty member per year for this award. Forms are available at the
Faculty Development Office, Deans' offices and Campus Life Offices
VICA Competition
We will be hosting a VICA competition on Sat Feb 25. Invited are 5
local high schools' vocational electrical programs. The staff of the
ELJ will be providing judges for the competition. The director of
the competition is Victor Ramirez 545- 5900 ext 3880. Please contact

This site contains policy statements and statistical information regarding
crime on campus at the El Paso Community College. The El Paso Community
