Preliminary Spring enrollment numbers show slight decline
By Cesar Sierra

Unofficial figures show a small decrease in EPCC enrollment this spring.

Daryle Hendry, admissions and registrar’s director, said the reasons involve family issues, employment or financial problems.

To boost enrollment, EPCC will be using marketing campaigns to promote the up-coming mini-mester, both summer sessions and the fall semester.

“As long as [EPCC] continues to offer the courses that are in demand and provide the right information about financial aid to students, we are positive that an increase can be expected,” said Hendry.

Hendry added there has been a slight increase in EPCC graduates.

This, according to Hendry, has raised the number of students registering at UTEP as juniors.
