Watch out students! Parking decal stickers are being strictly enforced at all EPCC campuses, and financial consequences will await those who do not comply.
According to Lt. Frank Ordaz, of the EPCC Police Department, more than 1,000 traffic and parking violations have been issued to students, faculty, and staff since the beginning of this semester. There were 5,938 ticketed violations at all campuses last fall.
Ordaz said that students have up to 10 days to pay the fine at the Campus Cashier’s office or make an appeal to the Traffic Citation Committee.
If students fail to pay the fine, their academic records will be withheld and result in the inability to register for the next semester, according to the Traffic Office.
Also, the students’ vehicle will be towed or immobilized with a release fee of $15 in addition to paying the original fine.
Faculty and staff, who also must purchase a decal sticker, are subject to the same immobilization and towing consequences as students.
Student decal stickers are $5 per semester or $15 for the academic year.
