El Paso Community College Veteran Student Information

El Paso Community College (EPCC) enrolls over a thousand veterans and their dependents each semester. A visit to any of our campuses will introduce the student to an extremely diverse student body and provide a social experience, intellectual challenge and personal satisfaction second to none. Our staff is dedicated to making your experience at EPCC as enjoyable and productive as possible.

Getting Started

New students at EPCC must complete the following steps for admission to the college and Application for Department of Veterans Affairs Benefits.

At the Student Services (Admissions/Intake) area you must:

  1. Complete the college admissions application and submit copies of your high school transcript or GED Certificate, DD Form 214 and obtain a student referral checklist.

  2. Make appointments for placement testing, ($10.00 fee) to see an Academic Counselor and to obtain a degree plan.

At the Veterans Affair Office (VAO) you must:

  1. Pick up a Supplemental Guide to Certification (which includes your application for benefits).

  2. Speak to a VA Advisor. (Expect to receive benefits in approximately eight weeks from the time you submit all necessary paperwork.)
