In this project you will learn about a mathematician and create a "scrapbook".
This project will be due during the last week of classes, this semester.
The "scrapbooks" will be displayed for other students to critique and to ask you questions about your mathematician.

The scrapbook must contain the following:

Title Page (include the name of your mathematician, your name,
name of math class and date) (3 points).

Birth Certificate (8 points).

Picture - credit the source (8 points).

One page resume or curriculum vita (10 points).

One page newspaper article reporting and explaining significant mathematical or scientific events in which your mathematician was involved. (8 points).

One page letter from yourself to a fellow or younger student, informing them of your mathematicians work. (10 points).

One page letter from the mathematician to a student giving advice on how to succeed in mathematics. (10 points).

Obituary (5 points).

Epitaph (A saying or verse that the mathematician would like to have on his/her gravestone.) (5 points).

Timeline, portraying significant events of his/her life interwoven with significant world events and contemporary lives (10 points).

One page newspaper article reporting a significant world event that occurred during the adult fife of your mathematician. Explain how this event that occurred have affected him/her and his/her work. (8 points).

Bibliography (at least 4 sources - one must be a book) (5 points).

Creativity (10 points).

Critique of your scrapbook by the other students in the class. Five points would be an "A" grade, four points a "B", etc. (5 points).
