EPCC Mentoring Program

Welcome

The Mentoring Program provides a support network to help guide new faculty through their teaching careers. The objectives of the program include retention of new full-time and adjunct faculty, providing activities that encourage collegiality among all faculty, fostering a more professional and nurturing teaching environment, and providing assistance to new faculty members as they integrate into the EPCC community.

Questions concerning the EPCC Mentoring Program should be directed to Stacy Zeller-Mayo at stacym@epcc.edu, 831-2153.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Mentoring Program is to provide a support network for new faculty as they begin their teaching careers.

Program Elements and Activities

Mentoring Partnerships pair new faculty with experienced faulty for one semester.  These partnerships are intended to provide new faculty with an experienced helping hand and stimulate collegiality with the more experienced partner.

The New Faculty Survival Handbook is available online as well as hard copy
and is intended to provide the basic "survival" information any new EPCC instructor needs to know. (Click here to download (PDF Format)
