The element of logic is also considered The word is of Greek origin: φιλοσοφία (philosophía), meaning love of knowledge or wisdom.
Philosophy has long been known as the “mother” of science and logic; indeed, all disciplines. This mode of “wondering” and questioning represents the origin of critical thinking. It has been defined as the rigorous, systematic attempt to think clearly on all issues. Beyond critical thinking, the course is an historical examination of the methods and theoretical understanding of the greatest, most celebrated thinkers from the past to contemporary times. While particularly helpful for careers such as those in the legal field, philosophic understanding is key for every discipline from basic English to nutritional studies.
