Linda Brown, Ph.D.

 Professor of Speech and Instructional Coordinator

Dr. Brown has taught at El Paso Community College since 1995.  She teaches Interpersonal Communication, Professional and Organizational Communication, and Public Speaking. She completed her MA and BA in Communication at the University of Texas at El Paso.  She completed her Ph.D. at New Mexico State University in higher education Educational Administration. Her dissertation research included a historical review of leadership and a national survey to assess the skills necessary for effective higher education leadership. She served as a member of the EPCC Critical Thinking Team and in Faculty Development as a developer and trainer and currently provides training for the EPCC Faculty and Staff Leadership Development Academy and student Leadership EPCC.

She is a certified trainer and facilitator using True Colors and Insight Learning personality assessment systems and is a certified Mediator. She has 12 years of volunteer experience with local K-12 schools. Dr. Brown has 15 years of experience as a trainer and consultant with educational, corporate and government agencies
