On the page titled "What Students need to Know to Succeed in College,"
we've added some very interesting statistics on income
by educational level and salary. (The new links are at the bottom of
the page.)

We've just added a page called Impeachment
Central. It's got all kinds of links to allow you to follow the impeachment
process, including links to e-mail addresses of members of Congress so
you can express your opinion and ideas.
Nov. 7, with this:
We've just added a Poetry Resources
page with many many poetry collections. It's also got collections of some
famous poems. We hope to expand that in the future.
We have also added a student essay to the "Orientations" page discussed below. We hope others -- both faculty and students -- will join the discourse..
Oct. 24, 1998, with this:
Our latest new feature is a page called "Orientations:
What Students Need to Know to Succeed in College." We're trying to
generate a frank and honest discourse between instructors and students.
We'll soon have a student response feature to the page.
We've also added a search engine called "Search Voyeur." It's a device that lets you see on a random basis what other people are searching for. It automatically updates every few seconds and is fascinating to watch. (You can't see who's searching, but you can open the links they find.)
October 5, 1998, with this:
We've found a powerful new search engine called Google.
Check it out! We've also added some stuff about search engines from a place
called Search Engine Watch,
which has a mountain of material about search engines, including this
wonderful page called A
Webmaster's Guide to Search Engines. For an in-depth understanding
of how search engines work, check out that page.
September 6, 1998:
Wonderful new stuff on the Critical
Thinking Page. Here are three sources to help you evaluate crazy, non-scientific,
fraudulent claims that are often (always!) made in the name of Truth. These
links will help a lot. Here they are:
We've also added a "news" link on the home page so you can get your news of the day up front.

Update from January 17, 1997:
We've just added a listing for "tons" of new links to
news media and journalism on the web, including Microsoft's "Slate" magazine.
Boy, would we love to get our 'zine built up to that standard! Lots of
other stuff here too. This media stuff is on the "Wonderful References"
page.
If you can see graphics, you may know this already. But if you don't: We've added our 'zine cover to the home page. We're still experimenting with the exact format, but we'll stabilize soon.
Also, look for lots of additions to the mag as the semester starts. We know several folks who said they plan to use Prolix-Skylark in their classes.
Check out the "Wacky English Language" posting on the Issues for ENGLISH page. It's a riot!

Just posted Dec. 19.
Something just posted to the "Ideas Page" Dec. 18 is
a list of the 100 terms or ideas a college student MUST know. Now the list
is just started. But soon we will begin adding definitions. Please feel
free to send us your contributions.
Some new links have been added to the Ideas Page. Check
'em out.
The EPCC student newspaper El Conquistador (Dec. 5, 1996)
carried an article about our 'zine. We hope that helps get the word out.
We've heard several comments about our "Guaranteed
Essay Format." If you're struggling with writing, try out this basic
tool. It's on the English 3110 page. (But you can go directly there from
here.)
