 Judy Frost

 

Ms. Frost has 25 years of experience in advertising, marketing, fund development, event planning, media/public relations, and employee training.

 

As a marketing manager and marketing specialist for Morale, Welfare and Recreation Branch of the U.S. Army (MWR), Ms. Frost developed marketing plans for MWR programs.  She also planned annual events and raised significant funds, goods and services for the soldiers and families of Fort Bliss, TX.  Ms. Frost ranked first for most funds raised for all the installations in the U.S. Army for five years, and also throughout the four branches of service for one year.

 

Ms. Frost planned and implemented several events for the soldiers and families of Fort Bliss, and Army wide. Some of the events included Summer Fest I,II and III, Uncle Sam Jam, Fort Bliss Don't Drink and Drive program, U.S Army Golf Tournament, German/American Fun Run, Youth Services Health and Safety Fair, Army Community Services Holiday Food Drive and Golf Tournament, NCO and Officer’s Appreciation nights, Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) Day, Fort Bliss Night with the El Paso Diablos, Fort Bliss Night with Viva El Paso, and the Fort Bliss Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. She also planned monthly command briefings and VIP welcomes for the  U. S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and distinguished visitors from around the world.

 

She served as a training officer for the Equal Employment Opportunity Office, taught diversity training and the Disney Institute Customer Service training program to employees and provided sponsorship and media/public relations training to other military installations as well. Ms. Frost trained officers to recruit graduates from universities and military academies into the U.S. Army TRADOC at Fort Lee, Virginia.  Ms. Frost received commendations for her diligent work and contributions for the activities, events,  fund development, and training conducted at Fort Bliss.

 

Ms. Frost graduated from UT El Paso with a B.A. in Journalism and an M.A. in Communication with a thesis titled “A Female Cultural Perspective on Sexual Harassment in a Workplace Setting.”  While a student at UTEP, she was an active member of the Advertising Federation of America, and participated in many community service programs and political campaigns.  At EPCC, Ms. Frost is a graduate of the Teachership Academy which is a collaboration of professors who research to advance teaching and learning strategies. Ms. Frost is a recipient of the 2011 Adjunct of the Year Award.

 

In addition, Ms. Frost has accumulated 28.1 International Association for Continuing Education and Training credits for completion of the U. S. Army’s Community and Family Support Center Management course in Falls Church, Virginia, Basic and Advanced Financial Planning and Contracting courses, and the Texas Tech Lowery Mays College and Graduate School of Business’ Marketing Manager’s Program at Texas Tech.

 

Her volunteer service has included the American Red Cross, as public relations director.  She also volunteered to raise funds for the Lighthouse for the Blind and the UT El Paso Development and Alumni Office.  As a member of the Communication Department faculty at EPCC, Mrs Frost is a volunteer judge for the EPCC Borderland Speech Tournament.

 

Ms. Frost is a member of  Toastmaster's has served as Area Governor for Toastmaster's International District 23, 2006 - 2007, Vice President of Education for Northeast Toastmasters, 2006, and Chairperson of the Toastmasters International 2006 District 23 Fall Conference.  She was also appointed and served for two years on the board of the El Paso City Cable Commission.  Her professional memberships also included the International Festival Events Association, International Events Group, El Paso Advertising Federation, National Organization of Women, Journalism Society of America, Public Relations Society of American, and the Marketing Society of America.
 
Her communication, marketing, public relations, and community service experience along with her strong skills in building successful community involvement strategies helped numerous companies and corporations enhance and succeed in their marketing and revenue building plans.
