The Career Services Department is committed to preparing El Paso Community College students to join the American workforce through the job market. The job market is exciting and ever changing, it is a place to sell your talents and abilities; where dreams come true. It is place where people compete for work. The key to getting the job you want is to be prepared.

Career Services can provide you with the necessary tools to find a job. In order for you to be prepared to compete effectively in the job market there are a few things you will need to do. Looking for a Job - Career Services assists students and graduates in obtaining, part-time, full time and career specific employment. Log on and check out our Career Corner for employment unities on-campus and out in the community. Career Corner is our automated online job listing database which was designed exclusively for our EPCC students and graduates. It is free of charge and can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any internet accessible computer.

    Complete your resume. Career Services is excited to present Optimal Resume. Optimal Resume is a useful and user-friendly program designed to help you compose an effective and professional resume. Log into Career Corner and click on Optimal Resume to register and take advantage of the straightforward and uncomplicated method to a great resume! Career Services staff can also critique the completed resume at your request.

    You can also come into Career Services or log into Career Corner and sign up to attend one of our informative workshops. Cover letter and resume writing workshops are available on a regular basis. Get hands on instruction from one of our qualified staff members.

    Getting ready for an interview can be an intimidating experience. Come into Career Services and get tips to prepare for the interview. As you well know the first impression you make has a great impact on whether or not you get the job. Knowing how to dress, what clothes to wear is imperative, and what about make-up? These are valid questions when getting ready for a job interview. Dark colored slacks and a jacket with a solid colored shirt and tie are acceptable for men. Women should wear conservative clothes, preferably a dark colored skirt or pants with a jacket and a button up blouse, closed toe shoes with a conservative heel and minimal make-up and jewelry.

    Mock interviews are one of the best ways to prepare for an actual job interview. It allows you to gain experience and practice in answering questions which you are likely to be asked by an employer. You will also be given coaching and feed back that will definitely improve your self confidence and help you develop an edge over the competition! Register for Job and Career Fairs, become a sponsor, mentor or participate in Employer Panels.

    Establish your Account to Post Jobs on Career Corner:

  • Go to our website: www.epcc.edu/careerservices
  • Click on "Login for Employers"
  • Click on “Click here to Register”
  • Search your organization’s official name or click on “Can’t Find Your Organization” to enter your organization’s demographic information
  • Complete all fields and click on “Register”

    Post Your Jobs:

  • Go to “My Jobs” link and select the “New Job” option
  • Enter your detailed information; add specific information for every field with an asterisk.
